2007 marks the 150th anniversary of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, a leading partner in the economic transformation of the city region, and Sheffield FC, the world’s oldest football club. The shared anniversary is also a coming together of two industries with the same guiding principles – aspiration, training, competition, self reliance and team work are as important in football as they are in business.

Our 150th anniversary comes at a time of renewed civic pride within the region, which has undergone a significant transformation for the better in recent years. We are using the anniversary as an opportunity to showcase what Sheffield has become and what we hope it will be in the future. Our anniversary celebrations follow a theme of heritage, enterprise and innovation, with special events, projects and city promotional campaigns throughout the year.
