FA CUP RETURNS TO SHEFFIELD

Hundreds of football fans in Sheffield enjoyed a glimpse of the FA Cup as the famous trophy made a unique appearance in the city – just days after Chelsea beat Manchester United at Wembley in the final.

The silverware joined a unique our150th exhibition at the Millennium Galleries which highlights Sheffield’s influence in developing the world-wide game of football. Special artefacts from Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United and the Sheffield & Hallamshire FA are also on show at the event, which is free to attend and runs until Friday (May 26).

The exhibition forms part of the joint 150th anniversary celebrations of the world’s first football club Sheffield FC and the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce.
