A4e Limited
By Group Marketing Director, Sara McKee
As a strategic member of the Sheffield First Partnership A4e is delighted to support the Chamber’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
We believe that A4e itself is a fantastic example of a local company that has grown over the last 20 years to become internationally recognised as a leader in its field.
Founded in Sheffield in 1991, A4e was set up by Emma Harrison to provide re-training and new career opportunities to unemployed workers from the declining steel industry. Since 1991 Emma and Mark Lovell, A4e’s first employee and now Group CEO, have built the Company into one that now employs over 2000 people across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
We are proud to say that our headquarters are still firmly rooted in Sheffield and we are now one of the largest suppliers of services to the public, private and voluntary/community sector, operating from over 100 offices.
A4e’s strength lies in supporting failing markets by developing innovative solutions to long established problems, working with a number of government departments and agencies to help them develop strategy and policy.
A4e has won a number of awards, the most recent being a Gold Medal and Innovation Award for our achievement of the highest growth through business innovation at the Yorkshire region’s first ‘Growth 100’ awards.
We never lose sight of our overall goal - to improve people's lives – and since 1991 A4e has touched the lives of over one million people, helping them to improve their circumstances and realise their potential.
A4e would like to offer the Chamber our very best wishes for its celebrations in 2007.
